Review of Amazon's Super Affordable Solimo Pre-Workout in Fruit Punch Flavor

Amazon Solimo Pre-Workout Fruit Punch

Many people are unaware that Amazon actually has their own Private Label supplement line, the name of the line is Solimo, and they make everything from Pre-Workouts to BCAAs, Vitamins, and even Energy Drinks. We recently reviewed the much talked about Solimo Silver Energy Drink who's claim to fame is a low price point of under a buck a can.

These may not necessarily be the absolute best products on the market, however you can't beat the price with Solimo Silver Energy being under a buck a can and Solimo's Pre-Workout coming in at under $12 per 30 serving tub with Free Shipping.

For those who aren't elite athletes needing the best of the best these can be a great affordable option for people who may otherwise not have room in the budget for supplements so today we're going to be looking at Solimo's Pre-Workout and giving it a test ride.

Reviewing Solimo Pre-Workout

So let's start by looking at the macros, and what most people want to know right off the bat, how much caffeine does Solimo Pre-Workout have? For some it may be a bit light on the caffeine, Solimo Pre-Workout contains 135mg of caffeine which seems light compared to many of the pre-workouts hitting the market today with 300mg to 750mg of caffeine, sometimes with Yohimbine and DMHA added as well. That said something like Allmax A:Cuts or Optimum Nutrition Amino Energy have around the same caffeine content and those who don't mind halving the monthly servings could double on and do two scoops and would then wind up getting 270mg of caffeine per serving, 15 servings per tub, and essentially $23 and some change for a months supply.

Amazon Solimo Pre-Workout Supplement Facts

If you take a look at the supplement facts above you'll see we have some Vitamin C and Niacin, it does contain a proprietary Pre-Workout and Energy Blend which is 3.7 grams. We're not huge fans of proprietary blends and would prefer a transparent label, so all we know is we have some Beta Alanine for tingles and endurance, Creatine Monohydrate, Taurine, 135m of Caffeine, the only thing they are transparent about, and of course some L-Tyrosine and Choline Bitartrate.

There's also a proprietary Muscle Pump Blend of 1.1 grams which contains L-Arginine AKG, L-Citrulline, L-Citrulline Malate, and L-Arginine Hydrochloride.

This pre-workout provides moderate energy, plenty for those who aren't stim heads, it gives a decent pump and decent focus. It's definitely no MuscleSport Rhino Rampage in terms of Stims but it's a decently well rounded pre-workout and a great budget option for $12 per tub.

Taste

Now in today's post we're reviewing the Fruit Punch flavor, I'm generally not a huge Fruit Punch guy so I may not be the best one to review this, it wasn't the best tasting pre-workout I've ever had but it's not bad, and common, we're not taking pre-workouts for the taste. I had previously had a small sip of the Pink Lemonade which is more my style of flavor and which I actually did enjoy.

Results

So again, this isn't a stim-fueled pre-workout that's going to have you raging in the gym, but again, not all of us are looking for that. This pre-workout provides a decent amount of energy and focus, again personally I'm someone who generally takes Optimum Nutrition's Amino Energy which contains about 110mg of caffeine so this is right up my ally. Optimum is a little more generous with the aminos, and tastes a bit better, however it comes in about $8 more than Solimo Pre-Workout.

If you're a casual gym goer or fitness enthusiast who doesn't need or want huge amounts of stims and tons of aggression, you're just looking for a little added energy and focus and maybe a bit of pumps, then this is a great bargain option for you.
