Univeral/Animal Nutrition's All New Beef Biltong

 

Images have recently begun surfacing online of an all new functional food product from the OG brand Universal Nutrition and their spin-off Animal. The all new product appears to be a Beef Biltong. While we've heard this name before and thought it was something similar to beef jerky, we did a bit of research and a bit of Googling for this one. Apparently Beef Biltong is a thinly sliced, dried, and cured meat which originates from South African countries like Zimbabwe, Botswana, and South Africa. Some compare it to beef jerky, though apparently it's quite different. Beef Jerky is cut very thin and cooked on a rack at low temperatures to slowly dry it out where as Biltong is cured and marinated for 24 hours and then hung on hooks to air dry for up to a week at a time. Biltong is also left in thicker pieces and is a big chunkier than beef jerky. 

We don't have much in the way of details to go on but from what we're heaving the all new Animal Biltong is going to feature 16 grams of protein per serving with no sugar or carbs, and from the photo it appears it will come in three flavors including Original, HIckory and Spicy Chili, and likely will be very clean with no additives, preservatives, or nitrates. 

We're not sure exactly when this one will be dropping or what the price point will be but we're anticipating it dropping on the Animal web shop sometime in early to mid April. 

Animal Alpha F Women's Hormone Balance and Performance Multivitamin Packs Now Available

 

A few weeks back the OG Supplement Brand Universal / Animal announced an all new supplement called Alpha F which would be dropping sometime in the coming weeks. At the time we learned that Animal Alpha F was to be a female hormone balance supplement and performance pack for women, kind of like an Animal Pak but for females.

Animal Cuts NS, All New Non-Stimulant Version of Animal Cuts

 

The Hardcore Supplement line Animal, a spin-off of Universal Nutrition, has just put out an all new non-stimulant version of their Animal Cuts Powdered Fat Burner. For those not familiar Animal Cuts was a stimulant fueled all in one complete fat burning supplement with stims, thermogenic and metabolic support and aimed to help you get ripped and peeled for cutting season. 

The all new spin-off is called "Animal Cuts NS" and is a non-stimulant version of the popular Animal Cuts Powdered Fat Burner. Animal Cuts NS features several blends including a Metabolic and Stimulant Complex, a Metabolic Herbal Extract Blend, a Nootropic & Thyroid Support Complex, and a Water Shedding Complex. .

Animal Cuts NS appears to be an all new supplement as we can't find it for sale online anywhere at this point, not even Animal's online website, though images have surfaced online. We do know that it will come in a 42 serving tub which is nice as you get over a months supply, and we know at least one of the available flavors will be a Blue Ice Pop Flavor. New Peach Mango Flavor Coming to Animal Nutrition's Juiced Aminos Recovery Product

Animal Nutrition recently announced an all new Peach Mango flavor which they'll be rolling out to their six year old "Juiced Aminos" supplemetn which features BCAAs, EAAs, Sustamine, and a few other ingredients.

Juiced Aminos initially rolled out about six years back in two flavors including a Grape Juiced and an Orange Juiced flavor. Shortly later the product got a Strawberry Limeade option, and now with the introduction of the all new Peach Mango flavor that comes to a total of four flavor options for this recovery supplement.

No word yet on exactly when this one will roll out on the Animal website or to partner retailers, but it should be out sometime in the coming weeks. 

Animal Launches New "Animal Greens" Supplement

 

Universal Nutrition and their spin-off brand Animal are two of the longer running companies in the supplement world and have some classic supplements which are hugely popular with fans loyal to their brand. The brand has in recent years slipped a bit. Their packaging isn't as modern or sexy as many of the newer brands and they aren't as active putting out cutting edge products and interesting flavors. The brand recently revamped Animal Pak for the first time in over 37 years.

It does appear however that the brand is trying to put a more modern spin on their brand, packaging, and rebranding. They recently revamped some product packaging and have been coming out with some products in the Vitamin, Overall Health, and Immune Support categories with a lighter and fresher packaging style.

Well, they've also recently entered an all new supplement category, the Superfood and Greens category which is a hot one here in 2020. Animal has just announced Animal Greens a Greens and SuperFoods formula. Animal Greens is doing things a bit different than competitors. Most of the Greens products coming out recently have been powders like Glaxon SuperGreens or Obvi Greens. Animal is sticking with the same formula that made their Animal Pak so popular, Animal Greens will come in "Paks" in similar fashion to the brands hardcore multivitamin.

Universal Animal Pak Updated Formula Revealed

Universal Nutrition's spin-off brand Animal recently announced that after 37 years, for the first time ever, they're reformulating their hugely popular Animal Pak Vitamin Packs. Well today the brand revealed the full supplement facts panel for the New Updated Formula of Animal Pak.

While much of the Animal Pak formula will remain the same, they have added amino acids along with some select other ingredients to support digestion and overall athletic performance. They've also included an antioxidant complex. The new and improved formula also now includes an Energy & Focus Blend and an improved Digestive Enzyme Complex, andlastly a Liver & Detox Blend, though most of that blends ingredients were already in the previous edition.

This reformulated version of Animal Pak is still the same price and is now available on the Animal web shop where fans can pick up a can of 44 Paks for just $30.95. The new version of Animal Pak should also be rolling out to partner retailers in the coming weeks.

Animal Immune Pak Now Available in a Powdered Orange Mango Flavored Version

As many traditional sports nutrition brands have been doing since the whole Covid situation kicked off, Universal Nutrition's spin-off brand Animal rolled out a different spin on their long standing Animal Pak Vitamin Paks, however this one was an Immunity Pak called Animal Immune Pak.

Animal just rolled out a flavored and powder version of this supplement in an orange mango flavor. Like the original this powdered version aims to Strengthen and Support your Immune System.

Universal's New Animal Immune Pak Now Available on Amazon

We've been reporting on a lot of new Immune Supplements lately from Zinc, Vitamin C and Elderberry supplements to more comprehensive immunity blends. We've begun to see many more traditional sports nutrition companies like Alpha Lion, Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals, NutraBio, and others getting into the immunity category. Universal Animal Pro Bars Reveal an All New Chocolate Brownie Crunch Option

Back in 2019 at the Olympia Expo Universal's spin-off brand Animal rolled out the Animal Pro Bar.The Animal Pro Bar is currently available in two flavors, Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch, as well as a Chocolate Berry Crunch option.

The Animal Pro Bars if you haven't tried them are quite tasty, almost candy bar like, and feature 20 grams of protein, and a fairly lean 250 calories.

Animal Pro Bar initially rolled out in the two flavors mentioned above, however has not had any new flavors added since, until now that is. Next week Animal will be rolling out an all new Chocolate Brownie Crunch flavor. The all new flavor will still feature the same 20 grams of protein and 250 calories as the originals.

Thes all new Chocolate Brownie Crunch bars should be hititng Animals website next week at a cost of $27 for a 12 case. It should be rolling out to online and brick and mortar retail partners shortly after that.

The original Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch is one of our favorite protein bars right up there with Robert Irvine's Fit Crunch Bar, so we're eagerly awaiting this all new Chocolate Brownie Crunch Option.

Universal Animal Launches First Ever Energy Drink

Animal aka Universal has announced they're coming out with their first ever energy drink. Only catch is this one is only going to be available in Europe, at least initially. The all new offering from Animal is called Animal NRG and unlike Bang and many of it's competitors, Animal NRG will only pack 80mg of caffeine. It will also feature taurine, some vitamins and minerals, and no sugar. No idea yet what the flavor profile will be like or what it will taste like.

While we don't have a ton of info as of yet about Animal NRG, we do know it will come in a 24 case of cans which are 250ml a piece. If Animal NRG winds up being a success in Europe, we'll likely see a similar product or spin-off become available in the states, although we'd guess with a higher caffeine content.
