Legendary Foods Previews Spicy Cinnamon Protein Pastry

Legendary Foods Spicy Cinnamon Protein Pastry

Legendary Foods has been on a roll lately, teasing back-to-back flavor drops across its lineup of protein-packed snacks. After word got out about the Apple Beignet Protein Pastry and the Cookies & Cream Protein Donut, the brand is now turning heads with yet another addition to its fan-favorite Protein Pastry: Spicy Cinnamon.

This new flavor takes the classic toaster pastry format Legendary has mastered and gives it a fiery twist. The brand already offers a Frosted Cinnamon Protein Pastry, but this one looks to bring a little extra heat for fans who want something bold. Like the rest of the lineup, you can expect a solid nutrition profile with around 22g of protein, less than a gram of sugar, minimal fat, and only about 200 calories.

The idea of blending sweet pastry notes with a spicy cinnamon kick is something we haven’t really seen before in this space, and if Legendary can pull it off, it could become one of their most unique launches yet.

Just like the Apple Beignet and Cookies & Cream Donut, the Spicy Cinnamon Protein Pastry has only been spotted in an early Amazon listing so far. That usually means the official release isn’t far off — so fans of Legendary’s creative flavors may have three new reasons to stock up very soon.

Legendary Foods Expands Protein Donut Lineup With Cookies & Cream

Legendary Foods Cookies & Cream Protein Donut

Legendary Foods isn’t slowing down when it comes to creative high-protein snacks. After shaking up the game with their Protein Pastry, the brand recently entered new territory with Protein Donuts — soft, cakey, and shockingly macro-friendly. The donuts dropped just a few months ago and have already made a splash in flavors like Pink Sprinkle, Vanilla Glazed, Chocolate Dipped, and the crumb-coated Cinnamon Crumble.

Now, Legendary is adding another classic dessert flavor to the mix: Cookies & Cream. If the early Amazon listing is any indication, this one’s going to be a hit. Each donut packs 21g of protein with no sugar and still manages to stay under 200 calories, making it an easy swap for anyone craving donuts without the crash.

From the preview, it looks like the Cookies & Cream Protein Donut will feature cookie pieces baked right into the donut itself, then topped with a full layer of cookie crumble — similar to the Cinnamon Crumble version, but with that nostalgic cookies-and-cream twist.

The product hasn’t officially landed in stores yet, but with Amazon already teasing the listing, fans probably won’t have to wait long. Between the Apple Beignet Protein Pastry and now this, it’s clear Legendary Foods is doubling down on turning comfort food favorites into protein-packed upgrades.

Legendary Foods Teases New Apple Beignet Protein Pastry

Legendary Foods Apple Beignet Protein Pastry

Legendary Foods is at it again with a new flavor twist on the snack that made them a household name in the protein world — their Protein Pastry. Known as the guilt-free answer to Pop-Tarts, these pastries pack 20g of protein, only a handful of net carbs, and still manage to taste like a legit bakery treat. Fans already rave over flavors like Chocolate Cake, Strawberry, Birthday Cake, and the classic Brown Sugar Cinnamon.

But now, something new is brewing. A listing recently surfaced on Amazon hinting at an upcoming Apple Beignet Protein Pastry. If you’re not familiar, an apple beignet is basically a warm, doughy pastry stuffed with sweet apple filling and topped with a dusting of powdered sugar. Imagine that, but turned into a high-protein, low-carb snack.

The Apple Beignet flavor looks to be a first for Legendary — not just another frosting-and-filling combo, but one that leans into rich, bakery-inspired comfort food. While we haven’t seen official images just yet, the idea of pairing soft apple notes with that signature pastry texture is enough to get people excited.

If Legendary pulls this off the way they have with past flavors, the Apple Beignet Protein Pastry could be one of their best yet. We’ll keep an eye out for the launch, but for now, it seems Amazon may have spilled the beans a little early.

RXBar Co-Founder Reimagines the Candy Bar with a Protein-Packed Twist

Hormbles Chormbles Bar

It turns out that reinventing the protein bar was just the beginning. Jared Smith, the co-founder behind the minimalist, no-nonsense RXBar, is back—but this time he’s putting a new spin on a completely different snack category. Meet Hormbles Chormbles, a brand-new protein snack that blends the fun of a classic candy bar with the function of a modern sports nutrition product.

While his former RXBar partner, Peter Rahal, is making headlines with the macro-defying David Protein Bar (28 grams of protein for just 150 calories), Smith is taking a slightly different path. Rather than chasing extreme numbers, Hormbles Chormbles is focused on something many functional snacks overlook: the actual joy of eating.

At first glance, Hormbles Chormbles looks like a chocolate bar. That’s intentional. The product is designed in a familiar, break-apart format—four snackable blocks of thin, indulgent chocolate layered with crispy protein bits. Each bar delivers 10 grams of protein, 9–10 grams of carbs, 6 grams of fat, and clocks in at just 100 calories. There’s no added sugar either, thanks to a sweetener blend of allulose, monk fruit, and stevia. The fat source? EPG, a cutting-edge low-calorie fat alternative that keeps the richness without the extra calories.

The protein base comes from whey and milk isolate, keeping the ingredient list as clean as the nutrition label. In many ways, it’s a continuation of the RXBar philosophy: quality ingredients, functional results—but this time with more chocolate and crunch.

Hormbles Chormbles currently comes in four flavors that cover the classic candy spectrum: Milk Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Cookies & Creme, and Salted Fudge. Want a bigger protein hit? Grab two bars and you’re still only at 200 calories with 20 grams of protein.

Boxes of 12 retail for $39.99 on the brand’s website, and if you’re curious but not ready to commit, there’s a four-bar sampler for $14.99—one of each flavor.

With its clean label, snackable format, and candy-bar appeal, Hormbles Chormbles might just be the bridge between the protein aisle and the checkout lane. And if history is any indicator, Jared Smith’s latest project is one to watch.

Finaflex Reveals a New "American Pie" Version of their Oatmeal Protein Pies

Finaflex Oatmeal Protein Pie American Pie

One of our favorite functional foods of the past year has been Finaflex's Oatmeal Protein Pie's. For those of you not hip to this protein packed snack, if you ever had a Lil Debbie Oatmeal Pie as a kid, this is basically the same thing but packing 14 grams of protein per pie.

In the year or so since the release of this nostolgic treat, Finaflex has added a total of six flavors to this tasty product line including Double Chocolate Chip, Krazy Key Lime Pie, Georgia Peach, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Awesome Apple Pie, and of course the original and my personal favorite, The Original Oatmeal Protein Pie.

The brand teased a new addition on Instagram over the long Memorial Day Weekend, though we don't have too many details. The new addition is called "American PIe" and features a different wrapper than the normal purple wrapper, this one features a blue patriotic themed label and it appears the filling is purple.

We're not clear on exactly what an American Pie is going to taste like or what the purple filling is going to be, but this one looks to be one of the most interesting flavors to date. We also don't yet have an official release date but the brand tells us this one should be rolling out very soon. Like the others it will feature 14 grams of protein, 12 grams of fiber and 340 calories.

Allmax Nutrition Announces Their First Protein Snackbar

Allmax Protein Snack Bar Sport

Allmax Nutrition historically hasn't ventured into the functional food space much, outside of their recent HexaPro Protein Popcorn, which was actually quite delicious. This week however the popular Canadian supplement brand has announced an all new high protein functional food snack in a more traditional format than popcorn. The all new product is called the Allmax Protein Snackbar Sport.

This all new functional food from Allmax is a layed crispy creamy protein bar formulated with real peanut butter, tasty graham crackers, and chocolate. While it doesn't pack quite as much protein as a more traditional protein bar with 14 grams, the taste and texture more than make up for that as high protein bars can often have a poor taste and/or texture.

Each Protein Snackbar will feature 14 grams of protein, 23 grams of carbs, 12 grams of sugar, 2 grams of fiber, and 15 grams of fat with only 280 calories. It will initially rollout in two flavors including a Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor and a White Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor.

No official release date has been announced but Allmax tells us this one should be hitting your favorite supplement and sports nutrition stores in the very near future!
