Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals Dropping an All New High Stim Gaming Supplement Called Cognisport

 

The "Gaming Supplement" category of the supplement industry is one of the fastest growing segments of the supplement market. Not only have we seen brands like G Fuel and others take off in popularity in recent years, but many traditional sports nutrition brands have also begun to put out gaming supplements including brands like Glaxon with their Goon Energy Supplement, Redcon1 with their War Games supplement just to name a few.

Cognisport features B Vitamins along with 4 different proprietary blends including a Focus, Concentration and Mood Blend which features Geranium Extract as well as DMHA. Gym Weed Hemp Extract Energy Drink Review

 

So recently I saw a new energy drink on Instagram called Gym Weed, and being a stoner the name and branding immediately caught my eye. Upon digging in a bit further and checking out their website I learned that Gym Weed is made by MuscleMilk, the maker of those ready to drink protein shakes, something I used to drink back in the day and really enjoyed so I figured I'd give them a try. On the GymWeed.Com website they offer a 3 Can Sampler pack which includes one can of each flavor for just $10.99 so I decided to put in an order and give them a try. The three flavors they send out are unique flavors I haven't tried in other energy drinks and they included Tropical Berry, Stone Fruit, and Pear Pineapple. 

Before we get into the actual review let's dive a bit further into the actual product. So Gym Weed is a lightly carbonated energy drink that features 200mg of natural caffeine from Green Tea which provides a nice clean smooth energy. It also has 20mg of Broad Spectrum Hemp Extract, 125mg of Lion's Mane for mental focus, and 200mg of L-Theanine to mellow you out along with the CBD, all of this along with Electrolytes for hydration and B Vitamins to support energy. There's a lot of people out there who believe you shouldn't drink carbonated beverages before a workout so it's nice that this beverage is only lightly carbonated. It's also worth adding that Gym Weed is Vegan, and contains zero sugar, no artificial flavors, and only 10 calories per can. 

A couple observations about the ingredients. I'm a big fan of natural caffeine over caffeine anhydrous so love that it has natural caffeine. As far as the L-Theanine and Lion's Mane a lot of energy drinks tout ingredients like CoQ10, Creatine or BCAAs in their marketing but the beverages contain such low amounts it's negligible, Gym Weed is actually dosed pretty well with the L-Theanine and Lion's Mane.

So first and foremost let's talk effects before we talk flavor. Gym Weed contains 200mg of natural caffeine which in my opinion is just the right amount of caffeine, personally I find the Bang and Monster Energy drinks to be a tad bit too much. The effects from either the CBD and/or L-Theanine are definitely noticeable, you feel a nice relaxed feeling, you feel the tension leave your shoulders and a sense of relaxation. My friend said his eyes felt a bit heavy and he felt very mellow, though I can't say that I had that effect. This was a bit surprising to me as well as this buddy of mine is a guy who smokes weed daily.

Gym Weed Pear Pineapple Flavor Review

The Pear Pineapple flavor was my personal favorite. One thing I really like about these drinks is that they aren't clear like most energy drinks, there seems to be some actual fruit or fruit juice in the mix. The flavor is much more natural than most energy drinks with no chemical taste, this is something I notice about energy drinks with a few calories, even if it's only 10 or 20 calories, energy drinks with calories tend to taste much better than zero calorie energy drinks. This flavor reminded me slightly of the Joe Rogan Kill Cliff CBD Energy Drink but without the spice at the end. Pineapple is the dominant flavor and it's a very natural pineapple flavor. The pineapple flavor is tart tangy and sweet and it finishes off with just a hint of pear. 

Gym Weed Stone Fruit Flavor Review

So I was initially confused by what a Stone Fruit was, however after a bit of Googling I learned stone fruits include any fruit with a pit so this can be peaches, nectarines, cherries and plumbs. I really enjoyed this flavor and I think this was the most flavorful of all three as well as the sweetest of all three. I want to say this flavor is some combination of various stone fruits but most notably was peach with maybe a hint of nectarine.

Gym Weed Tropical Berry Flavor Review

The Tropical Berry flavor was good but was my least favorite among the three, oddly enough this was my friends favorite among the three. I had a hard time nailing down the flavor but it seems to be a mixed berry type flavor with a hint of a pina colada type flavor but was unsure to tell if that was a pineapple or coconut flavor mixed in there.

Overall I was a HUGE fan of Gym Weed Energy Drinks. Loved the fact there was natural caffeine, loved the light carbonation and the natural taste, as well as the unique flavors. Many energy drinks either taste artificial or like chemicals or are syrupy, not at all the case with Gym Weed, this was one of the best and most natural energy drinks I've had in a long time. This is a newer brand so at least at this time you're probably unlikely to see this at your local gas station or grocery store, though you may luck out and find it at your local natural food store or supplement shop. Gaming Brand X-Gamer Drops New Caffeine Dip Pouches

 

The "Gaming" category is one of the fastest growing categories of the supplement industry. We're seeing more and more dedicated gaming supplement brands coming out as well as traditional sports nutrition supplement companies rolling out products to appeal to gamers. XXP Labs Drops New Pineapple Candy Flavor of BioShock

 

One category of supplements which has really grown and expanded in the past year or two is the gaming line of supplements. Redcon1 War Games Gaming Supplement Drops Tomorrow

 

Earlier this year supplement brand Redcon1 announced they'd be coming out with a gaming supplement later in 2020. Then back at the end of June Redcon1 announced "War Games" and revealed the ingredients and macros behind this gaming formula.

Bird Brain Energy, Reviewing This All New Nootropic Energy Drink

What is Bird Brain Energy Drink?

Bird Brain Energy is a "more natural" and less sugary energy drink which aims to help enhance cognitive function, improve focus, boost motivation, and support a good mood and a positive sense of well-being. In simpler terms, as the brand puts it, its' designed to "Make Your Brain Suck Less".

Bird Brain Energy comes in three flavors including Original Citrus, which is a light tangerine like flavor, Berry Lemonade, and Sour Apple. We had a chance to try the Original Citrus flavor. If you're accustomed to sweet and sugary energy drinks like Redbull, Bang, and Monster Energy, you'll likely find this one doesn't have that pucker your mouth sweetness to it, which could be  good or bad thing dependent on what type of flavor profile you like.

Personally I enjoyed it, it wasn't overpowering, it was crisp and fresh and had a decent flavor to it. While I did enjoy the taste, I will say this is something you're likely going to drink for the effects more so than for the taste. Like Bang, 3D, Monster and most other popular energy drinks on the market this one features 0 calories and 0 sugar, and 12 grams of carbs. It has an assortment of B Vitamins, 500mg of L-Tyrosine, 500mg of L-Carnitine, 150mg of AlphaSize Choline, 150mg of Caffeine, and 25mg of L-Theanine.

One thing I really like about Bird Brain Energy is it doesn't punch you in the face with caffeine, the focus is more on the B Vitamins and Nootropic ingredients, though it does 150mg of caffeine, about half of that of a Bang Energy Drink for example, but enough to put a little pep in your step and give you a bit more focus and energy. The L-Theanine is a bit light, we'd like to see 2x or 3x the amount of L-Theanine for the full effects of this ingredient, however it tends to be a bittery and chalky ingredient and supplements and energy drinks often have a chalky or bitter taste because of it. Due to this beverage not being over the top sweet or having artificial sweeteners we're assuming they kept the L-Theanine load light to keep it tasting good. 

As far as the effects, there's definitely a noticeable boost in brain function, focus, concentration, and memory. It's not over the top, you don't necessarily feel your brain tingling like some similar products, but personally I don't always want to feel that way.

Redcon1 War Games, Redcon1's 1st Ever Gaming Supplement

Redcon1 has just dropped a teaser image of an all new supplement from the brand. The all new supplement from Redcon1 is the brands first ever foray into the "gaming" category of supplements, and is called Redcon1 War Games.

While Redcon1 has not confirmed any ingredients as of yet, we're going to assuming this is an energy and nootropic formula for gamers which will likely aim to provide users with energy, focus, and a cognitive boost.

We do know it will come in a 30 serving tub with 14.7 grams of ingredients, and we do know at least one flavor option will be "Unicorn Blood". We'll bring you more info as we learn more.

The G Fuel & Doom Eternal Collaboration is Now Available in 2 Sizes + Special Edition Box Set

Gamma Labs the Doom Eternal Game is now available. The Spicy Demon'ade flavor is supposed to taste like a crisp lemonade with a spicy kick on the back end. The new Doom Eternal G Fuel is actually going to be available in two versions, a 40 serving tub, along with a "BFG Edition" which comes in a larger special edition gold container. The BFG Edition features the same ingredients as the 40 serving but packs twice the caffeine content at 300mg as opposed to 140mg, and 40 calories as opposed to the 15 in the smaller version.

Back in 2019 Gamma Labs, maker of GFuel reformulated their electrolyte version of G Fuel with a spin-off called G Fuel Hydration. In the coming weeks G Fuel Hydration will be getting it's first new flavor in quite some time.

Gaming supplement company Gamma Labs has been on fire launching new GFuel products throughout 2019. Some of the more notable recent releases were their Special Edition Twitch Flavor, as well as the recent Pewdie Pie Collaboration with a Lingonberry flavor. This all new flavor which is a Dubmelon Mint is a collab inspired by Daequan Loco of the eSports team TSM.

Earlier this month we announced an all new collaboration between Gamma Labs and Pewdie Pie. Gamma Labs announced they would be rolling out a special edition Pewdie Pie flavor of gaming supplement GFuel.

The name of the flavor is simply Pewdie Pie, however the flavor has been announced and confirmed. The name is quite fitting. The new flavor is Lingonberry. Pewdie Pie jokes on his Instagram account that Swedish Meatball flavored GFuel is illegal in 5928 countries, so they decided on Lingonberry. For anyone who frequents Ikea you've probably had lingonberry and swedish meatballs.

Gamma Labs has a sign-up form on their website for Pewdie Pie and/or GFuel fans who want to get first crack at picking up this all new flavor of GFuel. Considering Pewdie Pie has a couple hundred million Youtube subscribers and 20+ Million Instagram followers we're guessing this one is gonna sell out fast.

Gamma Labs Announced All New Pewdiepie Flavor of G Fuel!!!

G Fuel is by far one of the most popular and one of the most talked about supplements here in 2019. G Fuel is incredibly popular online gamers and streamers, and recently even rolled out a Twitch themed flavor of G Fuel for last week's TwitchCon.

G Fuel has a ton of flavors and has continued to stay busy rolling out new ones. In under six months the brand has rolled out six new flavors of their flagship gaming supplement G Fuel. All New Twitch Inpspired Flavor of G Fuel Being Rolled Out at TwitchCon this Weekend in San Diego

Gamma Labs maker of the supplement GFuel which is hugely popular with streamers, gamers, and social media influencers has put together an all new special flavor of their flagship gaming supplement GFuel.

This all new flavor is inspired by the streaming service Twitch, and as such the product is set to debute and be unveiled at TwitchCon 2019 which is happening this upcoming weekend in San Diego at the San Diego Convention Center.

Gamma Labs has shared a preview of the packaging, but has kept the flavor and the name of the flavor a secret as you'd imagine. Twitch G Fuel comes in a purple colored tub and has Twitch's logo scattered across the packaging along with gamer themed drawings and sketches.

Gaming Supplement Company Glitch Working on a New Product Called Glitch Green

Popular Gaming Supplement Brand Glitch is working on an all new supplement. The company currently has only one supplement available which is an energy formula for energy, focus, and mood.

Glitch is currently formulating a second flavor for this product. The new product/flavor is going to be called Glitch Green, so likely a sour apple flavor.

No word yet on when this formula will be released, the company is currently working on it and there's no release date.

Genius Consciousness from The Genius Brand - Nootropic Supplement Review

Today we're going to be reviewing Genius Consciousness from The Genius Brand. While The Genius Brand hasn't been around for that long, they've quickly made a name for themselves as putting out high quality, properly dosed, safe, and healthy supplements. While they do have pre-workouts and protein powders, with a name like The Genius Company, as you would imagine they are especially known for their Nootropic Supplements which focus on mood, cognition, and focus. They've quickly built a name for themselves and their large number of high scored Amazon Reviews speak for themselves. Supplement Smarter is their slogan and they put out healthy, well researched quality supplements with research behind them. If you're looking for safe and effective supplements you really can't go wrong going with this company.

Genius Consciousness is meant to help with focus, concentration, mood, and just overall brain health. One thing somewhat unique about this supplement is they have two dosages, if you take a half scoop you get 30 servings out of the tub, if you take a whole scoop you get 15 servings. Now right off the bat I'll tell you at a full scoop this supplement is properly dosed and gives real results. At a half scoop it's a bit under-dosed and not nearly as effective. This supplement isn't crazy expensive but also isn't cheap either at just under $40 a tub. At 15 servings that is a little pricey, at 30 it sounds a lot better, so I have a feeling that's why they provide the two doses, just to make it seem not as expensive. My review is based on a fully dosed one scoop serving.

So what's in this supplement? Well for starters we have Acetyl L-Carnitine which has been traditionally used for everything from alzheimers to memory loss to depression and more. Typically the recommended dosage to see benefits is around 1500mg. This supplement is dosed at 500mg which is a little under-dosed but still a respectable level.

Next we have Lion's Mane. Lion's Mane is a mushroom which has been used in Asian countries going back centuries. Joe Rogan a while back had an interesting episode of his podcast the Joe Rogan Experience where he and a guest went into a lot of depth on Lion's Mane and it's benefits and they are quite impressive. Lion's Mane is used for brain health, memory and focus.

Next we have Alpha-GPC which is under the patented name AlphaSize. That's one thing I really like about this supplement is they use 2 or 3 different patented ingredients which are a bit more studied and just a bit more reliable. Alpha-GPC is found in a lot of nootropics and pre-workouts and helps with focus. With 600mg it's a pretty effective dose. 1 full gram would be a bit more ideal but 600mg is nothing to sneeze at.

Next we have Dynamine, another patented ingredient, again patented ingredients are just a bit further tested and more reliable. Dynamine helps with energy, mood and focus.

As we'd probably expect we have 100mg of caffeine which is pretty appropriate. Anything higher and the stimulus from the caffeine may take away some focus so I like we have a 100mg for a bit of energy and focus without going over the edge.

Next we have Serenade, yep, another patented ingredient for memory and focus. Neurofactor which is the whole coffee bean and rind which helps with cognition and overall brain health.

AstraGin is the next ingredient, yep another patented one. AstraGin helps with absorption so just allowing your body to get the most out of the focus and energy ingredients in here. And lastly we have Huperzia Serrata which helps with oxiditative stress.

Now hats off to The Genius Brand for this supplement. Here's something I really like about it. They hit all the main ingredients for memory, focus and mood, but stayed away from some iffy and less studied ingredients that a lot of other companies throw into their focus and cognition supplements.

Don't just take it from me though, what do other people think? Well to date this brand has been getting not only a huge quantity of Amazon reviews, but they've managed to maintain high reviews as well. This is even more impressive in the nootropic supplement space where things quickly become divided and some people love a certain supplement while others hate it. Currently Genius Consciousness has just under 3,000 reviews of 4.3 stars which is pretty good.

Now on Amazon it's currently priced at $36, I believe the price has come down a slight bit recently. This is a pretty good price, this is a high quality supplement and the price point isn't bad, especially for a nootropic. Now I do wish it had a full 30 servings and didn't play games with the half scoop, but it is what it is. Yeah it's a little pricey but if you're looking for a focus, mood and cognition supplement this is one of the better ones I've tried.

Glitch Energy Formula - Another New Gaming Supplement for Gamers

Typically when we think of supplements we think of supplements for bodybuilders, power lifters, and athletes, however one of the fastest growing segments of the supplement industry is gaming supplements ie supplements for people who play video games and are looking for enhanced focus, as well as energy to stay up gaming late into the night.

Glitch is a new brand in the gaming supplement space that hit the market back at the beginning of the summer. This category has been heating up for quite a while but especially over the past few months.

This new gaming supplement Glitch has been formulated to help users with enhanced energy, mood, focus, and cognition, everything a gamer needs. The ingredients packed into this formula deliver those benefits, however oddly enough it doesn't include caffeine which is an ingredient found in most gaming supplements. 

Glitch does have proprietary blends meaning it's non-transparent so we don't really know how much of a dose of each ingredient it's packing per serving, as you can see from the nutrition panel below.

The energy blend contains citrulline malate, carnitine, and Dynamine; as well as 550mg focus blend which features TeaCrine, DMAE, and bacopa. There's also a 150mg superfood berry blend

Being as how this is a newer supplement brand distribution isn't in place to all the online and brick and mortar stores. It hasn't made it's way onto Amazon either. The product is however available on the companies website at Glitchdrink.co. Glitch comes in a 40 serving tub and goes for $35. Currently they only have one flavor available which is fruit punch.
