A few weeks back we'd posted about Christian Guzeman's 3D Energy Drink rolling out an all new Chrome Strawberry Lemonade flavor. 3D Energy is one of our favorite Energy Drinks here at The Supp Plugg, however unlike Monster and Bang, 3D isn't a company known for constantly rolling out new flavors. The most recent flavor the brand rolled out was the Special Edition Pink Cotton Candy flavor they rolled out for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. That flavor was decent, but wasn't quite as good as Bang's Cotton Candy.
Well, we managed to get our hands on a can of the all new Silver Frost Strawberry Lemonade flavor, and boy we're we impressed. Unlike most Energy Drinks which irrespective of flavor tend to be clear liquids, this one was surprisingly a pink colored beverage as you can see from the photos above. It comes in the signature Silver/Chrome can. Like the rest of the 3D Energy Drinks it packs only 15 calories, 200mg of caffeine, along with B Vitamins, Taurine, Ginseng Root, Guarana Seed Extract, and L-Carnitine.
So What Does Silver Frost 3D Energy Taste Like?
We were actually huge fans of this drink. It's not overly sweet, which can often be the case with energy drinks. The Pink Lemonade flavor was perfect. Just the right amount of caffeine, sweet without being overly sweet, and the perfect amount of carbonation.
This may be our favorite new 3D Energy Drink flavor. The Red, White and Blue Bomb Pop style flavor was always my personal favorite, and Silver Frost may have overtaken it, however these are very different flavors a "candy" flavor vs a more traditional fruit flavor.
Anyhow, we'd highly recommend giving this one a try. I managed to pick mine up from a local brick and mortar supplement store, however you can pick-up a full 12 case for $26.99 over at My Supplement Store. It will likely be a few weeks before we see this one begin rolling out to gas stations and brick and mortar sports nutrition shops.
