Mesomorph Pre-Workout Review

Mesomorph Pre-Workout Review

Mesomorph Pre Workout Review
Mesomorph Pre-Workout Supplement

One of the most popular pre-workout supplements on the market is Mesomorph by APS Nutrition. Mesomorph has been around for a number of years, however it recently blew up in popularity when the company decided to include DMAA in their product. Flash forward DMAA has since been banned and is no longer included in Mesomorph.

Mesomorph has however been chasing to offer that same effect, just without the use of DMAA. So how does the new Mesomorph stack up?

What is Taking Mesomorph Like?

The new Mesomorph is loaded with good vibes and plenty of energy, it's not however quite as powerful as the previous DMAA version for those of you who are huge stim heads. The mind muscle connection and the warm body feeling is there, but not quite as intense as with the former formulation.

If You've Never Tried Mesomorph

If you've never tried Mesomorph and aren't comparing it to the old formulation you'll likely find it to be an amazing pre-workout. It provides a rush of energy with increased endurance to make your workouts last longer. It's a competitive preworkout in a market with lots of options.

Mesomorph Pre-Workout Supplement Facts
Mesomorph Pre-Workout Old Formula vs. New Formula

Synthenox-Carnosine / Nitric Oxide Complex [6,500 mg]
Beta-Alanine: 3,200 mg
Beta-alanine is the supplemental precursor of carnosine, the lactic acid buffer of your muscles. Much like creatine, your body can hold a pool of beta-alanine for carnosine conversion during exercise. To create the ideal conditions, you will want to supplement with at least 3,200 mg of beta-alanine per day. Any less, and your not getting an effective dose.
Citrulline-DL-Malate 2:1 and Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate: 3,300 mg TTL (6,500 complex – 3,200 beta-alanine)
Mesomorph also contains Citrulline malate and arginine AAKG, at approximately 3,300 mg combined. This may result in higher nitric oxide levels in the body, but doesn’t meet the 6 gram clinical dose we discuss in our l-citrulline malate review.
Mesoswell-Cell Volumizing ATP Matrix [4,500 mg]
Di-Creatine Malate, L-Taurine, Creatine Nitrate, Ascorbic Acid (300 mg), Creatinol-O-Phosphate, Agmatine Sulfate
Approximated Dosages: Since we know that Ascorbic Acid is at 300 mg, we can partially deduce the rest of this matrix, since, in proprietary blends ingredients are listed by largest components first.
Around 250 mg or less Creatinol-O-Phospate and Agmatine Sulfate (each)
This sets the stage for Agmatine Sulfate to be under dosed by 50%, at best. The ideal Agmatine Sulfate dose is 750 mg (1).
Around 1,200 mg of Di-Creatine Malate, Taurine, and Creatine Nitrate (each).
Most likely, the dosages look more like 2,000 mg Di-creatine malate, 1,000 mg taurine, and 600 mg Creatine Nitrate.
Taurine is the only ingredient here in a sure-thing effective dose for increasing energy and performance (2).
The creatines on the other hand are pretty low-dosed. So much so, that creatine lovers are going to want to stack a creatine supplement on top of Mesomorph, while creatine haters really don’t need to worry about the creatine content in this product.
Neuromorph-Neuro Energized Stimulant Complex [1,870 mg]
Glucuronolactone: 1,300 mg
Glucuronolactone is a useful stimulant with little research available on it. Apparently, this compound is a derivative of glucose metabolism (3). You can find it in quite a few supplements, just not at such a high dosage.
Methylxanthine anhydrous (Caffeine), 3,7-Dihydro-3,7-Dimethyl-1H-Purine-2,6-Dione (theobromine), Naringin: 505 mg (1,810 mg prop blend – 1,300 mg Glucuronolactone)
APS Nutrition wanted to make Mesomorph look different and more hardcore by using the chemical names of common stimulants to make users think they are getting a way different product. It’s nothing to brow-beat too much, as many supplement companies have been doing it for a long time like GAT supplements.
Based on what we know for this formula, we can deduce that there is around 150 mg of each ingredient. Most likely, 300 mg caffeine, 100 mg theobromine, 105 mg Naringin.
Senegalia berlandieri: 200 mg new ingredient
The new addition to the reformulated Mesomorph is this ingredient, Senegalia berlandieri (4). What makes it unique, is that it is packed with the compound Phenylethylamine also known as PEA (5).
Phenylethylamine raises brain serotonin levels, making you feel happy. The only downside, is that over time this builds a dependency, and upon stopping supplementation you may experience headaches and withdrawal if you had been taking too much (6).
