Halo Top Ice Cream is Closing All 3 Brick and Mortar Ice Cream Parlor Locations

Halo Top Shops Closing

The hugely popular ice cream company Halo Top about two years back began opening Halo Top Scoop Shop ice cream parlors in and around Los Angeles. They had a shop at the Westfield Shopping Center in Topanga, Canoga Park, as well as two in LA, one at Westfield Century City on Santa Monica Boulevard, and another at The Grove.

If you only knew Halo Top from the grocery store shelves and weren't aware of the online shops, they wound up opening some brick and mortar ice cream parlors serving the companies signature protein ice cream. You were able to get delicious Halo Top ice cream in soft serve or ice cream form in cones and sundaes along with tasty toppings like you would at a traditional ice cream shop.

It was announced today however that Halo Top has decided to close all three of the Halo Top Scoop Shops. The shops were fun while they lasted, they would have limited edition creations, secret menu items and did a few fun collabs with other brands.

While Halo Top hasn't provided a reason for closing their shops, they are all permanently closed. If there was anywhere this model could have succeeded it would have been LA. It likely just wasn't a sustainable business model. While it was a fun concept and while the ice cream itself is still hugely popular in grocery stores, it seems like people wanting to grab a treat on the go or on a night out are more than likely willing to splurge and indulge in higher calorie traditional ice cream as opposed to a healthy and slightly less tasty option.

The good news at least is that the hugely popular Halo Top ice cream you're used to in stores isn't going anywhere.
