Mainstream Skippy Peanut Butter Company Rolls Out a Functional Nut Butter Called Skippy Peanut Butter Protein

These days we're seeing more and more "mainstream" companies getting into the supplement and functional food space, as well as seeing supplement and functional food companies cross over into the mainstream.

While we at The Supp Plug are actually Jif fans, we had to show Skippy some love with this announcement. Peanut Butter company Skippy recently revealed they'll be rolling out a functional food nut butter. The mainstream company has created an all new product called Skippy Protein Peanut butter and has blended their traditional peanut butter with plant based protein to provide 10 grams of protein per serving of peanut butter.

This all new Skippy Protein Peanut Butter will come in two varities including a Creamy version and a Chunky version. This one is already rolling out to select retailers and should be seen more widely in grocery stores in the near future. Those of you looking out for this all new functional food from Skippy will be able to spot the shorter stubbier jars than the brands traditional peanut butter.
