New Vanilla Nurri Protein Drinks Likely Dropping Soon at Costco

Vanilla Nurri Protein Drink

Nurri Protein Shakes have only been around a few months but have taken the Sports Nutrition space by storm and have quickly become one of the most popular protein drinks on the market, even seemingly surpassing the popularity of drinks like Premier Protein and Fair Life.

While we knew that Nurri had Strawberry and Vanilla flavors in the works, it appears that Vanilla may be the next flavor to drop and it may be happening in the not too distant future.

Previously the Nurri website, which just forwards visitors to Costco's website features the Chocolate Nurri, but said coming soon for the Vanilla and Strawberry flavor options. Well Nurri's website now has an active product page for the Vanilla flavored Nurri and actually forwards visitors to Costco's website, though currently the Costco website only shows a Chocolate flavor option. The Strawberry flavor option is still showing a "Coming Soon" status.

Nurri Protein Strawberry & Vanilla

This is an assumption on our part but due to this recent change we're assuming the Vanilla Nurri Proteins are going to be hitting Costco's website and shelves soon and who knows it may already be in select stores. We'll keep you updated but keep an eye out for Nurri Protein Shakes available in Vanilla in the very near future!

Swole AF Drops a Crystalized Egg White Protein Powder

Swole AF Crystalized Egg White Protein

Supplement brand Swole AF, the maker of the infamous high stimulant preworkouts Escobar and El Chapo has just dropped an all new Crystalized Egg Whites supplement. Years back egg white supplements or crystalized egg whites were all the rage with Rich Pianna's 5% Nutrition having their old crystalized egg whites which not only had a cult following, but were considered by most to be one of if not the best tasting proteins of all time. 5% actually recently re-released that product, however unfortunately unlike the previous flavored version, this time it's unflavored. Egg Whites are a popular protein source due to them being a high quality source of protein without a lot of calories, and the fact that they are low in saturated fat and can be taken by those who can't digest lactose or dairy.

Swole AF's new Crystalized Egg Whites are at least for now unflavored, they pack 20 grams of lean protein wiht just 90 calories and a single gram of carbs with the only ingredient being crystalized egg whites. In terms of how to use Swole AF's Crystalized Egg whites you could drink them unflavored with water or milk, could mix them in your morning smoothie, or if you're looking for a hefty dose of protein you could even mix them with your current whey protein powder, double your protein intake and only add 90 calories to the shake.

Swole AF Crystalized Egg Whites are now available for sale on the brands site where you can pickup a 20 serving tub of unflavored Cystalized Egg Whites for just $49.99 per tub.

Reviewing Redcon1's All New MRE RTD Meal Replacement Shakes in Convenient "Ready to Drink" Cartons

Redcon1 MRE RTD Protein Shakes

Fans of Redcon1 will be excited about today’s post and review. We managed to get our hands on a case of Redcon1’s All New MRE RTD Shakes. Now if you’re a fan of Redcon1 MRE, which stands for “Meals at the Ready”, you already know about this amazing meal replacement protein shake. Previously this product was available in a powdered form, it was later spun-off into MRE Lite, another powdered but leaner meal replacement, and it was eventually turned into another spin-off MRE Bars or protein breakfast bars essentially. Well, Redcon1 has managed to spin-off this product once again, this time into Redcon1’s MRE RTD, a convenient Ready To Drink Carton of MRE. In today’s post we’re going to be doing a review of the all new MRE RTD Protein Shakes.

First off let’s get the macros out of the way. One thing that’s a slight bit annoying is 1 carton is 2 servings. Many companies do this such as Lenny & Larry’s making a single cookie into 2 servings when it comes to macros. Nobody eats a cookie in 2 servings and clearly they lable their product that way to deceive the consumer. I’m not sure why Redcon1 did that with this product, making a single carton 2 servings, it makes no sense as this is a meal replacement, its not meant to be lean, and the macros aren’t even bad, 230 calories is nothing, nor are the 6 grams of fat or 6 grams of carbs so it made no sense in my opinion to turn a carton into 2 servings. Beyond that however assuming were talking a full carton you got 40 grams of animal protein along with some pea protein, brown rice protein, and egg white protein. Some who’ve reviewed this product have expressed disappointment in not having 100% Beef Protein, however the reality is that beef protein and chocolate and vanilla flavors don’t always meld that well, so this was likely done for taste. While this product advertises it has no dairy protein it does have some dairy in it for flavoring, however most who don’t care for dairy or are lactose intolerant will not be bothered by the slight amount of dairy in here.

These MRE RTD’s are available right now in 4 flavors including Vanilla Milkshake, Blueberry Cobbler, Milk Chocolate, and Strawberry Shortcake. We wound up getting a chance to try the Chocolate an the Vanilla which are two classic and standard flavors. So now what you all wanted to hear about, what did we think about them.

Well let me start by saying I’m a huge fan of RTD or pre-packaged protein shakes over powders. I’m not sure why or how but to me they always taste superior, they are well mixed, they are creamy, the taste is rich. Many protein shakes come in a powdered version and a liquid or RTD version and I’m always a fan of the RTD or pre-mixed version and Redcon1 MRE RTD was no different, I’m a huge fan. While I liked the original powder, I liked these even better. These shakes are rich, creamy, have a great taste, and best of all there’s none of that meaty or earthy taste you often get with sweet protein powders made with animal proteins. After finishing a carton I was definitely satiated and it kept me full and energized until dinner time. For those who are just looking for an afternoon snack to hold them over until dinner or until after their workout, one positive to this being divided into two servings is you can drink half, you’ll stretch these drinks further and still get the job done.

These Redcon1 MRE RTD shakes come in a 12 carton box or case. Currently you can pick these up on the Redcon1 online web store for $39.99 for a 12 case or at BestPriceNutrition.Com for the same price $39.99 per 12 case, however they’ll give you Free Shipping when you spend $75. Use Code “NELLY10” at checkout to save 10% OFF your purchase.

Redcon1 MRE Lite Ready to Drink (RTD) Protein Shakes, Coming in January

Redcon1 just recently announced the long awaited MRE Lite RTD Protein Drink. Redcon1 MRE Lite has long been a popular protein powder, and some time back we had heard the brand was going to be launching an RTD version. Word is it's coming out soon, sometime in early January.

Redcon1 MRE Lite RTD's will feature the same 5 protein sources as the powdered version. It will come in a 12 RTD pack and will rollout with 6 flavors including Chocolate Brownie, Vanilla Milkshake, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter & Chocolate, Strawberry Shortcake, and Blueberry Cobbler.

Each shake is said to pack a whopping 40 grams of protein, 4 to 6 grams of carbs dependent upon flavor, 1 to 2 grams of fat dependent upon flavor, and 190 calories, so it's actually even leaner than the powdered MRE Lite.

While it's not yet available, it's said to cost $34.99 for a case of 12 which works out to about $3.49 per shake. These should be hitting Redcon1's website as well as retailers near yo in early January.

Quest Nutrition Rolls Out New Ready to Drink (RTD) Protein Shake

New Quest Nutrition RTD Protein Shake

Hugely popular supplement and functional food brand Quest Nutrition has come out with another Ready to Drink (RTD) protein drink, however unlike most of the brands "functional foods", this is a protein drink. This all new supplement is available in three flavors, Chocolate, Vanilla, and Salted Caramel.

If you didn't catch the news or our post a week or two back, Quest Nutrition was purchased for a Billion Dollars by The Simply Good Foods Company, the company behind the Atkins Brand. This could be a sign of things to come ie more products from these combined two powerhouses.

This new shake from Quest has a whopping 30 grams of protein derived from milk concentrate, 3.5 grams of fat, 4 grams of carbs and a gram of sugar with just 160 calories.

The Vitamin Shoppe will be one of the first to carry this new shake, however it should soon making be making the rounds everywhere. This product is selling for $10.99 for a pack of 4 which comes to $2.75 per shake.

I'll be honest, this seems like they are kind of copying Premier Protein, which is a RTD protein drink available at popular Big Box store Costco. I have to say while I probably will try Quest's version, Costco sells an 18 pack for $26, which comes to about $1.44 per pack and it has pretty much the same macros. If you're not a Costco member it also sells on Amazon for just a few bucks more.

None the less it is nice to see Quest continue to roll out new products in new categories as Quest does have it's die hard fans. If we get a chance to try this one we'll be sure to do a full review for you.

Finaflex Clear Protein Premier - Churro Flavor - Review

Finaflex Clear Protein Premier Churro Flavor review

Intro

Just recently discovered this protein powder after trying a sample I got at the gym. I wound up liking this so much I decided to pick-up a bag. I like to switch my protein powders and flavors up every so often so I bought a 1.5lb bag. I love this stuff but I'll probably switch to chocolate after this and then come back to this Finaflex Churro flavor. If you're sick of poor tasting protein powders with bad texture, then you'll be pleasantly surprised as Finaflex really steps up on flavor and texture.

Supplement Facts

The protein powder market is already incredibly saturated, there's so many different drinks out there and a dozen new ones come out every week. So why try Clear Protein from Finaflex? The type of protein used in this supplement is Finaflex's PentaPhase Instantized Protein Blend of WPC, Milk protein isolate, casein, WIP, and Hydrolyzed Whey protein. You may be used to Whey Protein and be wondering why would I want 5 different sources of protein? Whey protein sources digest quickly helping you heal post workout, the milk/casein protein digests slowly allowing your body to absorb the nutrients over time and also to help with recovery. For those using protein as a meal replacement it also helps keep you full longer.

Taste/| Mixing | Dosage

So I picked up the 1lb bag of Churro from Amazon, and it really is an amazing tasting protein. While I love churros, I couldn't tell you the last time I actually had one, but Finaflex did an amazing job capturing the flavor of a churro in this protein powder.

The serving size is a single scoop which winds up being about 22 grams of protein to 36 grams of actual weight, mixed with 6-8 ounces of water or milk. The texture is great, almost a milkshake texture. This powder mixes very well with water or milk, although I personally prefer it with coconut milk.

There is one shortfall to this protein powder when we look at the macros, it's a bit high in fat content. It's also a bit high in carbs at 7 grams when competitors have as low as 2 grams. It's still pretty good for you though as a scoop only comes out to 150 calories with 22 grams of protein so that's pretty strong.

Does it Work?

Finaflex Clear Protein makes a fantastic post workout drink. It will also keep you full if taking as a snack or meal replacement.

Price

Finaflex Clear Protein comes out to about $1.07 per serving which is actually lower priced than many others in this category. A 1.5lb bag on Amazon is going for under $20 with Free Shipping.

Any Side Effects

I had no side effects, no upset stomach, no bloating. If you have issues with soy, dairy or eggs you may want to look into a vegan protein.

Conclusion

Overall I'm pretty impressed, this is a pretty solid protein. The fact they've created a protein with such an amazing taste and texture, as well as having 5 different protein sources makes this a pretty solid choice and a pretty unique protein powder. While it is a bit high in carbs, fat, and even calories, it's a great tasting protein powder. There's no reason to guzzle down nasty chunky or watery protein powders when you have something like this.

Reviewing Cookies and Cream The New Premier Protein Shake Flavor

30g of Protein Cookies and Cream Premier Protein

I've long been a fan of Premier Protein's protein shakes. A few years ago my girlfriend discovered these at Costco and I've been hooked ever since. Typically an 18 pack of these shakes goes for between $26 and $33 at Costco. The sell on Amazon as well, but typically for a bit more than at Costco.

Now typically I get the Chocolate flavor. I think it tastes the best and I think chocolate typically does the best job at covering up any protein taste or after taste. I have tried the Vanilla flavor before and wasn't a huge fan.

This week, the week of August 7 for about 4 days following, these Premier Protein shakes are actually going to be going on sale, $5 off per case, so I had to stop in and get some. When I was in Costco the other day I happened to notice two newer flavors I'd never seen before. The new flavors were Chocolate Fudge and Cookies and Cream.

I decided to roll the dice and pick-up a case of Cookies and Cream. Now to me this is a big gamble. If I hate them I spent $26 and have 17 more gross drinks to chug as to not waste them.

After initially buying this case I got home and had instant regret. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Oreos and occasionally a McFlurry or something like that, but I wasn't sure I was going to be in the mood for a daily Cookies and Cream protein shake.

Well tonight I decided to crack the case open after dinner, I had a light dinner of chicken and some mixed vegetables and got in a good workout today so decided to have a Cookies and Cream shake for desert.

To my surprise these things aren't half bad. It's a little sweet but not overly so. I would say the cream takes the front role in regards to flavor with a hint of cookie on the back end. It's really not bad.

Now only time will tell, 12 days and 12 shakes into this case I may not be quite as into the Cookies and Cream, however it's definitely not a bad flavor, especially if your someone who's a big fan of cookies and cream.

Would I buy these again? Maybe, these things have a pretty long shelf life so I'd probably buy them with a case of chocolate so I could swap them out every few days.

Premier Protein Ingredient Label

Okay, so in this post I mainly wanted to talk about the flavor, I'm guessing a lot of you are already familiar with the Premier Protein drinks, however I guess, I'll touch on the macros for anyone who isn't familiar with these but wants to know a bit more.

A shake is 11 fluid ounces, contains 30 grams of protein, 160 calories, 1 gram of sugar, and 24 added vitamins and minerals. I feel like Premier Protein doesn't always get the respect it deserves. I think this is partially because I believe they got sued a few years back for exaggerating, okay lying, about the protein content. Today however everything seems to be on the up and up.

This is honestly one of the better tasting proteins I've ever had, I like that there's a bit of a thickness to it so its not a watery protein shake. It tastes good, packs in a nice amount of protein 30 grams, and isn't full of calories or sugar like some protein drinks.

I used to think these things were a bit pricey, however considering your spending say $26 for 18 drinks, yeah it's more than some protein powders, but it's cheaper than some of the more expensive brands as well, and it's already mixed for you so you don't need to worry about shakers and making shakes, just grab a Premier Protein, go about your day and throw away the box when your done, no need to lug around your shaker bottle. Best of all these things don't need to be refrigerated so I'll normally grab one out of the laundry room on my way to the office in the morning, throw it in the fridge and it's cold and ready to go for a late morning snack.

Have you tried this new Cookies and Cream Premier Protein? How about the Chocolate Fudge? Drop a comment down below and let us know what you thought.
